Teams Preparing for the 2026 Washington State Envirothon

Washington’s Regional Envirothon events ended on April 23rd and the teams advancing to state are preparing to travel to Okanogan later this month. There will be a total of 13 teams competing for the top spot and the chance to represent Washington State at the North American Envirothon, happening in July in Mississippi.

At the North American Competition, students will compete against teams from most US States, several Canadian Provinces, and China. They will be expected to have some of the host city’s regional knowledge in each of the subject areas and prepare an oral presentation about the current issue, non-point source pollution.

Big thanks to Okanogan Conservation District for hosting and organizing the 2026 Washington State Envirothon, and good luck to all students!

Teams competing at State by region:

North West: Tesla STEM, Lincoln High, H.M. Jackson High, Mount Vernon Christian School

South East: Walla Walla High (two teams), Mead High

South Sound: Cedar High, Tacoma School of the Arts, Timberline High

North Central: Bridgeport High, Waterville High, Okanogan High

(Pullman High from the South East region and CASEE from the South Sound region qualified but will not be competing)
