The 2019 WACD Envirothon Auction was a spectacular success thanks to the participation of dozens of people and Conservation Districts spanning the entire state of Washington
The philanthropic evening began with a Silent Auction where attendees browsed and vied for items ranging from a Rootwood Cider Co. Basket to a 70-Piece Stanley Tool Kit. Craig Nelson from Okanogan Conservation District flawlessly led the Live Auction, and encouraged the crowd to outbid each other on items like luxury hotel stays to a 70 gallon rain barrel.
Camaraderie was in the air all evening, but of course, the bidding for the University of Washington vs. Washington State University Baskets brought an ounce of rivalry to the event! The evening closed with an overwhelmingly showing of support for Washington State Envirothon when over 30 people “Raised The Hand” and donated a dollar amount to support Envirothon.
In total, the Silent Auction raised $1,088.00 and the Live Auction raised $2,970.00. With all the additional donations, the Auction raise a total of $5,563.00, all of which will support and fund Washington State Envirothon teams through their Envirothon journey. Thank you to all who attended, participated and volunteered!
