Form Your Envirothon 2023 Team Now!

Spring 2023 is fast approaching. Now is the time to talk with your teachers, classes, clubs, and friends to form a team for a 2023 Envirothon competition.

What is Envirothon?

Envirothon is the largest outdoor environmental science competition in the United States and Canada for high school students. Students compete in teams of five to demonstrate their knowledge in Soils, Forestry, Aquatics, Wildlife, and a current issue topic. This year’s current issue topic is Adapting to a Changing Climate.

The Washington State Envirothon brings together top teams from the Washington State Regional events. The winner of the Washington State Envirothon competition represents Washington at the North American National Envirothon.

What study resources are available for Envirothon Teams?

For online and study resources for teams, please reference our Study Resources page. The WA Envirothon committee will also be holding training sessions and workshops to help teams prepare for the competition. We will update our Team Trainings page as these training sessions become available.

Who can compete?

Students grade 9-12 from the same school, home school, or local organization (FFA, ect.) can form a team and compete. Teams must consist of five members and have an adult team advisor, who can attend the competitions.
