In this training session, we will delve into the fundamentals of forest ecology and tree identification, preparing participants for potential questions in the Envirothon Forestry section. Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience in utilizing forestry tools such as clinometers and compasses under the guidance of forestry experts. This training is an excellent opportunity to get your teams ready for the upcoming Regional Envirothon competition. The forestry training session is open to all students, whether you’re considering Envirothon participation and seeking more information, looking to enhance skills for other events, or simply intrigued by forestry—everyone is invited to join us!

This is a free workshop offering to help prepare teams and individuals for the Envirothon Wildlife section. We’ll delve into the different adaptations of animals, ecosystems and habitats, and the human effect on them both. Learn about these through hands-on activities and exploration, including a visit through the wolf sanctuary. The workshop will take place on Saturday, February 17th, from 11:30-1:30, with a tour of the sanctuary taking place at 1:30.
