With last year’s cancellation due to COVID-19, the Washington State Envirothon committee is looking forward to this year’s competition and have made accommodations to support remote and hybrid teaching. To best ensure the health and safety of all involved Envirothon 2021 will be a statewide virtual competition in Spring 2021, with no regional competitions or in-person field days.
Now is the time to talk with your teachers, classes, clubs, and friends to form a team for the 2021 Envirothon competition. Teams of students spend the year studying about Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Soils/Land Use, Wildlife, and the current issue topic. In Spring 2021, a virtual statewide competition will be held to test your knowledge on these topics. Natural resource experts design and administer tests. Meet experts in natural resource management and learn about careers in the environmental field while competing in your Regional Envirothon competition!
If you are interested in forming a team, find your local conservation district contact and regional sponsor here. Details on the statewide competition and registration and will be updated soon.
